THEY/THEM — CLINICAL INTERN

Sally (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, mixed-race Chinese clinical therapy intern with seven years of experience working alongside adults navigating acute mental health challenges. With both lived and professional experience, they bring a deep, embodied understanding of the complexities surrounding stigmatized mental health diagnoses.

Rooted in a radical, liberation-based model of care, Sally approaches therapy through an anti-carceral, trauma-informed lens. Their work centers the experiences of queer and trans individuals, particularly those living with schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and those who experience self-harm, suicidal ideation, voice-hearing, or other extreme or non-ordinary states of being.

Sally also brings specialized experience supporting individuals impacted by intimate partner violence. Their practice is guided by a commitment to affirming care that recognizes the systemic forces shaping mental health, and honors the full humanity of those they work with.

In their spare time, Sally studies bassoon and works as a massage therapist.
